Sweet Looking High Performance Beastie

Would recommend - yes

I bought an almost $5000 toy and got a free gaming laptop! :-D Seriously though, quite a cool looking machine with some nice design aesthetics and a fairly hefty GPU. Comes with a neat display toy spaceship, a large mouse-mat and a halfway decent gaming mouse full of glowy LEDs (which you can turn off). Build quality is good, performance is good as you'd expect from the specs. The only "complaint" is that it's fairly noisy when you're doing stuff on it - but then again when you're looking at a laptop with these kinds of specs you'd expect that as part and parcel, so it's not surprising. Will suck through the battery reasonably quickly even when not gaming, but then again you're probably likely to be mains connecting it most of its life anyway, so probably not much of a consideration. Decent machine, not cheap but you get some good specs and a design look that you'll either really like (I do) or hate, in which case there are plainer versions of much the same spec you can look at instead. BUT FREE TOY SPACESHIP, YAY ;-)
