Does computer lounge match the prices from Pricespy with its CPU's? I am wanting to get a new Cpu next week, the 8500, which is listed at $423 with CPL and on Pricespy its at basically $389.
Would you match this price?
I also was enquirying if you would match the following off Pricespy:
Viewsonic vx2433WM 24"
Velociraptor 150GB 10kRPM
Asus Triton 81 CPU Cooler
Course related costs are coming up so looking to spend a bit of money, would also be looking at getting a custom side panel for my current with some adjustments within the case too, but was looking too see what price matches you could do a Pricespy match on the parts listed above.
Thanks,
Sya.

is that $389 including shipping and what not? what store?
pricematching "pricespy" sometimes the prices listed are wrong and most of the cheap prices are from unreliable retailers.

Please be careful that some of the price is not GST included and no shipping cost is calculated. CL offer a very competitive price:))

The parts listed alone are $1436 listed online, yet alone getting a panel made for my case and some labour costs on that aswell would be over $1500 for it all.
I would like to think spending that money would get me a Pricespy price match, regardless of Pro's n Con's so to speak.
Look forward to a CPL reply.

That price was Incl. GST, I would otherwise have added it on myself and posted it.

You need to learn that from time to time you may pay $20 or so more for a product from CL compared to the lowest on pricespy. The reason for this is simple, service, both during the sale and after.
Its easy to find horror stories on the internet about other retailers taking up to 3 weeks to send a product, or being impossible to contact for RMA or after sales support.
There are no horror stories like this about CL because they are, quite simply put, awesome. It comes down to the good old case of you get what you pay for!

i Have delt with pricespy alot what you would find is that computer lounge are the cheapest although you might find some really cheap gear thats 20 or so less remember you are paying for the service of computer lounge and i am happy to pay 20 dollars more to be sure that my product gets deliverd properly.
Other companys i have delt with inluding well known playtech, oczone, pcpacific all gave me problems and were a nightmare.
Computerlounge is the best service out there, :) Thanks CL for you service

Word..
You gotta take into account it cost more to run a reputable business than one that has zero stock and list false prices for goods that you can order and never get. C1 went down today and took all the paid for goods with them from customers

The C2D E8500's sitting at around $390 on price spy are all OEM packs. Computer Lounge sells retail packs (i think) hence the slightly higher price.
Antec 900 - E7400 - ASUS HD4850 512MB - Corsair 520 HX - ASUS P5Q SE - 2x2GB SuperTalent DDR2-800 - Vista 64 - ASUS Xonar HDAV 1.3 Deluxe

can do $979 for monitor + cooler + hard drive,
CPU is below our cost. Our processors are all retail packs with a proper Intel 3yr warranty. FYI: there have actually been some stolen processor shipments from the ports. So watch out for processors that are really cheap.
Pricespy is best used as a guide to an average price. Some of the prices are way below cost and most of those retailers will not honour it.

Yeah a couple of suppliers have relayed the info to us. Probably small quantities flicking around. Most will probably go though trademe.
But no doubt a few of the not so reputable stores will get there hands on them.
Best price I can do is $421 for the E8500 Processor

Dude, did you even read the thread? "Someone" from CL already posted further up the page. He said:

We could do $1400 for the whole lot
E8500
Viewsonic VX2433WM
WD Velociraptor 150GB
Triton 81 Cooler
BUT, the monitor is only in stock in christchurch, so will not get here until early next week because of couriers, no stock at auckland suppliers.
We could do the LG 24" L246WHX-BN for $1479 included in the price, let me know and i can set an item up for you.
E8500
LG L246WHX-BN
WD Velociraptor 150GB
Triton 81 Cooler
If you went for the LG, we would have everything in stock.

ETA when Auckland will be getting more stock in for the Viewsonic?
What do you think would be better out of the 24" range for price and qualtiy from the Viewsonic, LG you mentioned and the Samsung Syncmasters?

i would personally recommend the LG over the others, have seen the samsung, and viewsonic and i prefer the LG.
LG also comes with HDMI and composite cables which can be very handy
That price is just for the parts, are you wanting us to do more with the case?
